There are rumors that a Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black model will launch early in December 2016. The upcoming variant will reportedly be glossier compared to the current black Samsung Galaxy S7. Samsung may be looking to counter Apple's popular iPhone 7 Jet Black.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black Features

GSM Arena reported that Samsung may be looking to make more sales from the Samsung S7 Glossy Black, after they suffered giant losses with the failed Galaxy Note 7. The company recently featured the Blue Coral color from the Note 7 to the Galaxy S7 edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black, as well as more hues may be introduced in the following months to potentially rake in more sale. It is still uncertain whether the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black will launch globally or limited only to a few markets. The current Onyx Black Samsung Galaxy S7 may be described by users as a mix of matte and shiny, with its multilayer nanocoating.

The handset gets shinier with a touch of light, but users may still be opting for an official glossy version with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black. Since Apple has both Jet Black and Black tones for the iPhone 7, Samsung may be opting for the same approach to provide more options for users, especially since the Note 7 is gone.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black: Also In Other Colors?

The sources that leaked the news of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black remained unidentified, and it is still undetermined whether the smartphone will be available only in South Korea or in select countries. The Blue Coral hue was released on a worldwide scale, so users are optimistic that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black will also become available everywhere soon.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is available in Black, White, Gold, Silver, Pink Gold and Blue Coral. GSM Arena stated that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black is expected to feature the same specifications and features, such as a 5.5-inch SUPER AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a curved edge display.

It will also likely run on Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 octa-core chipset, have 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of internal storage and a 12-megapixel camera. More updates and details on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black are expected soon.
