HTC News & Update: Say Hello To Bolt's Doppelganger HTC 10 Evo; Toughest HTC Smartphone

Earlier this November, HTC has launched their newest smartphone HTC Bolt named after the Olympic gold medalist Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt. And just now, the Taiwan-based company announced that the smartphone will now be called HTC 10 Evo. 

According to Tech Times, HTC Bolt and HTC 10 Evo are closely similar except for the name. This is the toughest HTC smartphone to date. It is built with a full metal unibody and is resistant to dust, water, and splash. This is designed to users who is fond of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping etc. without worrying the changes in temperature and climate.

In terms of design, the latest HTC 10 Evo has a 5.5-inch LCD screen with quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 px. It is built with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen for tougher protection without sacrificing its touch sensitivity. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel panoramic selfie front camera. It also comes in Gold color unlike Bolt which is available in Silver and Gunmetal colors only.

Moreover, the newest HTC offering Evo 10 has a 3G RAM and up to 32G expandable memory, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, a 3200mAh nonremovable battery for long battery life and runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

Meanwhile, iTechPost reports that the HTC 10 Evo will be exclusively available online. Meaning, they won't be distributing in physical stores and you need to order it via HTC's online store. This is the first move from the company to establish a partnership with select carriers. The HTC 10 Evo is expectedly priced at $650 and is exclusively available on US carrier Sprint.
