'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: What's Next After Thanksgiving Update? Niantic Working On Offline Mode, Hatch Pocket Monsters Without Data?

Niantic has already commenced the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving update beginning November 23. Players who participate in the in-game events during the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving update can get Stardust and XP upon completion of in-game tasks and missions.

'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update

While players are enjoying the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving update, there are reports saying that Niantic is brewing two new updates for December. Although the "Pokemon Go" December update details are still unclear, sources reveal that an insider from Niantic says an offline mode might be coming.

What Is The Offline Mode In 'Pokemon Go?'

Ever since "Pokemon Go" has been released in July, players have been dependent on data or internet connection to play the game. This is mainly because "Pokemon Go" uses GPS to locate and catch the pocket monsters.

Players who do not have constant mobile data or internet connection cannot enjoy the game. With this, reports say that Niantic is creating a "Pokemon Go" update that allows players to enjoy the game via offline mode.

Although it would be hard to imagine playing "Pokemon Go" in offline mode, reports say that players still can't catch pocket monsters offline in the upcoming "Pokemon Go" latest update. However, some game functions might be available offline such as egg hatching that requires players to walk a certain distance to hatch Pokemon eggs faster.

'Pokemon Go' Offline Mode Details

Most smartphones have a step tracker installed by default. For those smartphones that do not come with a step tracker by default, a lot of applications can be downloaded for free. The upcoming "Pokemon Go" update can reportedly integrate the steps taken by the players and synchronize it once the player goes online.

As of writing, Niantic has to address the reports regarding the "Pokemon Go" latest update involving the offline mode. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Pokemon Go" latest news and update!
