‘Diablo 4’ Release Date, Gameplay, News & Update: ‘Diablo 3’ Sequel Confirmed In The Works? New MMORPG, Mobile Game App Possible? [GAMEPLAY]
Blizzard Entertainment's "Diablo 3" will soon receive a major update called, "The Rise of the Necromancer," which brings back an old fan-favorite hero class. But apart from this new expansion, the game is making the headlines due to murmurs about a possible sequel, "Diablo 4."
The "Diablo" franchise is already two decades old, having released the first game in December 1996. Gaming enthusiasts strongly believe that it's high time for another sequel. "Diablo 4" hasn't been officially confirmed by Blizzard and plans for the game have yet to be announced, but fans already made their own theories as to what a sequel can possibly bring to the table.
According to predictions made by fans, "Diablo 4" could be a new type of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG). The game would be in full 3D and features a full Diablo map, including hell and heaven. It is also said to let players build a hero type. Basically, predictions point to a game that's similar to "World of Warcraft."
Then again, developing "Diablo 4" to have similar features as "World of Warcraft" would appear as an unlikely plan from Blizzard, considering that both titles from similar publisher might compete with each other. That said, the "Diablo 3" sequel might be designed to cater to mobile platforms, making it a mobile RPG game.
In other predictions, it was stated that "Diablo 4" might have only two acts and players will only get to pick one character from three hero classes. For now, the sequel remains a big mystery and fans can only hope that Blizzard does push through with a new game.
Some gamers hang on to hope that "Diablo 4" will materialize because of the existence of job listings for a mysterious project related to the "Diablo" universe, Digital Spy reported. But that's just it - no other details exist so fans should just continue to wait for more updates.
