Cast members of "Pitch Perfect 2" are said to be reuniting soon. The Barden Bellas already have a schedule to start filming for "Pitch Perfect 3" by mid-January 2017, a reliable source said. It was also reported that top celebrities are joining the movie.
Miley Cyrus will be joining the cast of the box office hit's sequel, "Pitch Perfect 3", according to IMDB. Another new face on the set would be the teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber, whose role is still under wraps. Anna Kendrick, who starred as Beca in the two previous movies will be coming back in "Pitch Perfect 3".The other Barden Bellas, namely Emily (Hailee Steinfeld), Gail (Elizabeth Banks), Chloe (Brittany Snow), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Aubrey (Anna Camp) and Stacie (Alexis Knapp) will also be present.
"Pitch Perfect 1", which was released in 2012, was a box office hit that garnered a gross sale of over $115 million. The sequel which is titled "Pitch Perfect 2" is currently the "highest grossing musical comedy film of all time." It gained a gross sale of $287 million. With the success of the first two movies, fans are expecting "Pitch Perfect 3" to surpass the first 2 installments.
The plot for "Pitch Perfect 3" has not been released yet but writing credits still go to Kay Cannon. Elizabeth Banks is supposed to direct but she stepped down "due to scheduling conflicts and parental responsibilites" passing the crown to Trish Sie, who was known for directing "Step Up All In" in 2014. Banks still retained her position as the producer together with Paul Brooks and Scott Niemeyer.
"Pitch Perfect 3" was first announced on June 10, 2015. It was originally scheduled to be shown on July 21, 2017 but was later moved to December. Reports are saying that Universal Studios is already on pre-production and filming will start by mid January 2017 at Atlanta Georgia. "Pitch Perfect 3" is set to open in cinemas on Dec. 21, 2017 for Germany, Israel, and the Netherlands; Dec. 22, 2017 in Brazil, UK, USA and Jan. 5, 2018 in Sweden.
