"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 spoilers suggested that despite Alex being turned down by Jo for three times, there may be a ray of hope for romance between him and Meredith. Furthermore, will Alex face jail time or will Jo testify to save his liberty?
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 finale episode showed several cliffhangers that paved way for theories that suggested Meredith may be the savior of Alex - with respect to the romance, at least. Throughout the series, he had been proposing to Jo and for three times, he had been rejected over and over again. Although this had been heartbreaking for the fans of the couple, there may be something new for Alex come "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.
Meredith and Alex?
According to reports, the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 finale showed that Alex and Jo may not be in love with each other anymore. Although Alex was given the plea bargain of choosing two years of jail time or let Jo testify to prove his innocence, there was no showing that their romantic relationship has beaming hopes of continuing on to "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.
Despite the downfall of their relationship, it was evident in recent episodes that Alex sought refuge and comfort by spending time with Meredith on Waffle Sundays. This friendship could possibly blossom in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.
In other news, it was also reported by Romper that Jo had been drowning herself in alcohol to mend her broken heart. Although she wanted to say yes to Alex's proposals, her secret has been revealed. She admitted to DeLuca that she could not marry Alex for she had been previously married to a manipulative and abusive husband whom she had been running from.
