NetherRealm has a little treat for its fans following Injustice: Gods Among Us. The company has revealed that there are more DLC characters that will soon follow up for its popular fighting game based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics.
The news was revealed via Ed Boon, Creative Director from NetherRealm Studios, who officially confirmed via twitter that more playable characters will soon be available for Injustice.
Boon wrote on his official Twitter page as a response to one of the tweets making queries about future character DLCs for the game: “RT @steven421 @noobde any new dlc character announcements soon? EB: YES!”
NetherRealm Studios, as of now, has already released four new playable characters for their critically acclaimed game. Injustice: Gods Among Us was released back in April and has received four different playable characters – Batgirl, Skorpion, Batgirl, Lobo and General Zod.
The game, before the DLCs were introduced, was already featuring characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Killer Frost, Ares, Solomon Grundy, Shazam and more.
Additionally, NeatherRealm has also updated the Wii U version of its DC Comics fighter, introducing a few balance tweaks, new free skins and DLC support. There are about 19 packs available for purchase, also meant to bring the Wii U version up to date with the game on other platforms. However, sadly enough, it seems like NetherRealm has once more ignored friend lobbies in this update.
For the Wii U version, characters like Zod, scorpion Lobo and Batgirl will all arrive for $4.99 and free skins include Flashpoint Batman, Luchador Bane, Containment Suit Doomsday, and Classic Ares. There is also a Zombie mode available for $2.99 that will turn every character in the game into the undead.
