Good news for the fans of the adventure fantasy drama show as it has been confirmed for a "Outlander" Season 3. Many rumors suggest that juicy and interesting events are about to occur, including the pregnancy of Claire with Jamie. Whatever happens though, fans are assured for a very exciting season.

"Outlander" Season 3 Confirmed for 2017

Many solid reports have confirmed that "Outlander" Season 3 is totally happening. The show will then be returning on air on June 2017. Looking further ahead though, rumors have stated that Season 4 of "Outlander" is already in the works. The third and fourth seasons of the show will once again be based on their respective novels they are based on, namely "Voyager" and "Drums of Autumn"

"Outlander" Season 3 Plot and Details

"Outlander" Season 3 will then be opening with the Battle of Culloden, picking up from last season. Jamie, portrayed by Sam Heughan, will be outlasting this battle despite Claire's absence. It will then be revealed in "Outlander" Season 3 that Claire, played by Catriona Balfe, will be pregnant with Jamie's child. The revelation will certainly enrage her husband, Frank Randall, portrayed by Tobias Menzie.

"Outlander" Season 3 will then see Jamie having illicit relationships with other women. However, when he crosses paths with Claire once again, these relationships will not bide well. The two characters' encounter would most probably be the climax of "Outlander" Season 3.

More Exciting Action and a Different Atmosphere

Showrunner Ronald Moore has also revealed in an interview that "Outlander" Season 3 will most definitely feature more heart pounding action that the show is known for. With the first two seasons of "Outlander" being drastically different from each other, the third one will be no different. Moore went as far as to saying that "Outlander" Season 3 will actually feel like a totally different show altogether.
