The first half of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 wrapped up its episodes on November 17 and all that's left are the compelling stories of the characters. While most of them dealt with the positive side of being in nice and quiet relationship, others are still waiting for closure; a closure that would finally tell them to move on.
In the latest "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode 9, the womanizing Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) is seen flirting with new doctor Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk). But it's also a painful realization that just recently, she broke up with what fans thought, would be her partner for life; Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez).
Arizona's character as a lesbian is incomparable. She's known to have slept with women in Grace Seattle Hospital and the interns were no exception. And when she finally tied the knot with Callie, it was a match made in heaven. In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, she'll be confronted with equally stubborn and confident Minnick.
Ramirez' abrupt departure prior to "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 also came as a surprise to showrunner Shonda Rhimes. But Rhimes' statement also hinted something could possibly make the character of Callie Torres return to the show. "I had a different plan going and when Sara came and said, 'I really need to take this break,' it was sort of lucky that we had shot the end of the season with her going to New York."
Apparently, Rhimes had plans; other plans for the character of Callie Torres and when Sara Ramirez said, she really needed the break it's possible that she's really on a break and will return soon. Rhimes also added that, she can't be more thankful for the perfect scene given to the character of Callie, she added "I love the woman and I want to do everything for her. It all worked out in that sense."
