‘Dishonored 2’ Full Review, Is The Game Worth Buying?

Corvo Attano has turned into one of the emblematic characters of gaming. The steampunk dystopia of “Dishonored” introduced us to the royal guard, who had to fight through different groups of traitors to be able to redeem his honor and secure the future of the deceased queen’s heir. Now the continuation of the story is released and it holds a few nice surprises.

Fox News brings the first updates to the game. In the second installment of the game, players will be offered an important choice which will affect the way they play. That is the choice between Playing with Corvo or Emily. Fifteen years have passed since the events in the first game and the young princess has grown into an efficient warrior. After losing control over the empire to a powerful witch, Emily and Corvo have to fight back, each in their own way.

Corvo’s skills from the first game are well familiar to the fans. He is a stealth oriented character with fast executes or escape techniques. Emily on the other hand is more of a crowd control character.
Choosing with which character to partake this adventure is a grand choice on your play style.

The most important choice you will have in the game is shared by the Financial Post. In the beginning of the game, besides choosing a character, you will also be given the choice of accepting the Outsider’s gift or experience the whole adventure as a normal human being. For those unfamiliar with the game’s story, the Outsider is a powerful entity, which bestows supernatural powers to a chosen few for a reason no different that he gets a kick out of it.

One of the biggest problems that come with the game is optimization. Game Rant reports that on consoles, the game struggles to keep 30 FPS and on the PC 60 FPS is also unachievable, since high-end hardware barely reaches 58-59 frames. Bethesda has released a patch to fix this problem, but the results are not as impressive as it was expected. Besides the problems, the game still offers an immersive storytelling experience, which is good for any fan of the series or of the stealth genre.

“Dishonored 2” is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
