Since Caitlin Frost's debut in the first episode of "The Flash," fans have been speculating that it would only be a matter of time until the valiant member of Team Flash would transform into a villain. Fans have been waiting for the brilliant scientist to finally transform into Killer Frost -- her alias from the comics - in "The Flash" Season 3.
Although the last episode of "The Flash" Season 3 was titled "Killer Frost," Caitlin didn't transform into her villainous character, and her mission was far from wicked. Her evil potential shone through when she used her medical knowledge to injure but not permanently harm Barry. But ultimately Scared with her growing abilities, Caitlin tried to hunt Doctor Alchemy down so that she could have her powers taken away.
Caitlin's rapidly growing powers in "The Flash" Season 3 have already allowed her to perform acts that even great minds like Cisco and Harrison Wells can't seem to understand. She doesn't just freeze things, she robs them of their molecular motion and brings their temperature down to absolute zero. If you look deeper for reasons, Caitlin is still in grief over her husband's death; she has plenty of control and anxiety issues. Her time as Zoom's captive probably gave her some serious PTSD. And yet, none of this was dealt with.
With everything that's been going around "The Flash" Season 3, fans are quite certain that Killer Frost can certainly step up and slowly descend into an ice-powered villainy for the length of the season. They are left wanting much more from Killer Frost as they see that the character has the potential to be awesome.
As for what exactly the future holds for Caitlin and her friends in the rest of "The Flash" Season 3, no one is quite certain yet. One thing's for sure, the aliens called Dominators are attacking the Central City and Barry Flash is doing the best that he could in order to stop them.
