Most of the highlights of "Gilmore Girls: A Year Into The Life" was deemed to be a portrayal of a more dependent and yet adult Rory Gilmore which received numerous criticism from the media. In fact, News.com.au even claimed the series to have shown a terrible side of the main character.

Per the report, basing upon the last season of "Gilmore Girls" before its comeback on Netflix, Rory was seen to be privileged with expensive education without having to work hard for what she had to earn. For its comeback, the report indicated that she continuously acted spoiled under her mother's wing. In fact, she was labeled as someone who was underachieved and yet, was praised for her tiny accomplishments in life like she did a tremendous job.

One highlight of the show was Rory complaining about being unemployed and yet when she was offered a job, even begged for it, she turned down an offer from Sande Says despite her problems of being unemployed.

Additionally, when she sought a job, she was turned down for her lack of work experience in the industry despite her completion of a degree several years back. In fact, she even wondered why she was turned down despite her lack of accomplishments which was deemed to be a characteristic highlighted by the writers of the show. In showing Rory in such a bad light, the harsh criticisms in social media erupted.

In other news, Buzz Feed reported that Rory also showed signs of being an irresponsible adult when "Gilmore Girls" aired a few years back when she accidentally shoplifted cornstarch from Doose's Market after Dean kissed her for the first time. At present, when she ran into Dean once again, she reminisced the moment with him which was also deemed to be a reminder of Rory's character.

Furthermore, it was also shown from the dancing rabbi figure in season 2 of "Gilmore Girls" that Lorelai still had to fend for Rory when she left her dinner money at home. In fact, it was the first time that their home was revealed since the revival.

Has Rory Gilmore upset the fans in the Netflix comeback of "Gilmore Girls"? Will there be a season two now that reports indicated the main character has annoyed some of its fans?
