Ann Rice ‘Vampire Chronicles’ Book Series To Invade TV Screens

Anne Rice is one of the most famous American authors when it comes to gothic fiction, especially when vampires are the main subject. She has invaded the bookstores with her top selling hit series and is planning to take part of the small screen.

It wasn't long ago when one of her vampire series made their way into the big screen. "The Interview With The Vampire," which stars Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in 1994 by Warner Bros. is a proof about how people loves to see her novels on the screen. Some movies, such as "Queen of the Damned" in 2002, was also inspired by her fiction series.

Vampire Chronicles book series to appear on your TV screen

The author stated on her lengthy post from her Facebook page about having the theatrical rights of her "Vampire Chronicles," again. "A television series of the highest quality is now my dream for Lestat, Louis, Armand, Marius, and the entire tribe."

In 2014, Imagine Entertainment and Universal had obtained the right of the book series but recently, Rice thought that her stories are better played on TV screens.Rice recalled that after several attempts of putting the series on the big screen with the help of connections like Universal and Imagine Entertainment, it seems like the television is where it belongs.With the help of her son, Christopher Rice as the executive producer, they will create a detailed outline and script while focusing first on the second series, The Vampire Lestat.

Anne Rice's Message To The Fans

"Over the years you all have told me how much you want to see a "Game of Thrones" style faithful rendering of this material, and how much you want for the series to remain in my control. Well, I have heard you. I have always heard you. What you want is what I want."She ended her message with a tease of having a "tour" for the new book.
