'Beauty And The Beast' Remake Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Promotes Domestic Violence? Angela Lansbury Original Voice Actress Slams Remake

"Beauty and the Beast" film is allegedly promoting domestic violence. This was based on a secondary school lesson plan that was reported to teach pupils that the character of Belle suffers from an abusive relationship with the Beast. The controversial lesson plan further implies that the heroine in the movie has only one asset:  her sexuality.

The story of "Beauty and the Beast" has been known by generations of children of how a cursed man-beast has been transformed into a handsome prince once the evil spell is broken by lovely young girl's love. However, the reported lesson plan now asserts that while the Beast does not attack Belle, there is a threat of physical violence.

Based on reports, the lesson plan further asserts that the "Beauty and the Beast" implies that a woman's beauty and sweetness can change an abusive man into a gentleman. It also follows that it is the fault of the woman if the man abuses her.

The lesson plan, was called Disney as Racist and Sexist based on the film "Beauty and the Beast", and aimed at student ages 11 to 16 as the audience. It was uploaded by an unidentified teacher in England for lessons like Citizenship and RE, according to report.

Reports also indicate that it has been seen more than 11,000 times and downloaded more than 600 times, Mirror reported. Meanwhile, Angela Lansbury, one of the voices behind the "Beauty and the Beast" animation classic has reportedly criticized the live-action remake, while discussing the story's legacy  that spans through different generations.

Lansbury was the voice behind Mrs. Potts in the 1991 movie. According to the actress, she could not understand why the producers would consider recreating the classic film all over again when the original title was already the best one.

However, the 91-year old veteran actress also thinks that the "Beauty and the Beast" remake would be very interesting, since the new Mrs. Potts will be voiced by her close friend Emma Thompson, Play Bill reported. Watch Beauty and the Beast - Trailer - Official Disney | HD
