GRID 2 Peak Performance Pack DLC is now live

Codemasters’ recently revealed racing title GRID 2 now has an added bonus. According to reports, Codemasters has announced the brand new Peak Performance Pack DLC for the title.

The Peak Performance Pack has six special edition cars available for fans to race with in GRID 2’s single player, split-screen and multiplayer modes. Each vehicle has been customized with new and unique paint jobs, body modifications and further tuning upgrades – suspension improvements, new wheels, better transmission, improved aerodynamics, improved engines, and weight reduction kits – that will look to deliver maximum performance.

There is also a varied range of vehicles to choose from, offered via the DLC. And these include new special edition tier 2 cars such as Dodge Charger, Chevrolet Camaro, VW Golf, and Ford Mustang, coming with a full range of improvements that weren’t available up till now.

The Peak Performance Pack has been made available for the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live, for PC for £3.19 / $4.99 / €3.99 from Steam and for the PlayStation 3 for £3.19 / $4.99 / €3.99.

Here’s a compiled list of what’s offered:

* Dodge Charger RT – There will be stiffer suspension, wider wheels and aggressive camber improve traction with additional power under the bonnet this time. An extra gear will reduced weight is also there to improve top speed and acceleration.

* Ford Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special – Improved aerodynamics for reducing drag, bigger brakes for reducing braking distances and engine improvements for increase acceleration and top speed have been added.

* Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970 – The car comes with a re-mapped engine for adding more horsepower and torque, with reduced mass and inertias giving the car more responsive steering and a lower centre of mass. Stiffer suspension improvements have been made for traction and reducing body roll.

* VW Golf R – An engine upgrade has been made to boost acceleration and top speed. The car’s lower roll centre and lower centre of gravity improves traction, with revised differential setup minimizing understeer.

* BMW E30 M3 – This one comes equipped with a racing clutch to reduce shift times. It’s re-mapped engine and stripped out weight also improves top speed and acceleration.

* BMW 1 Series M Coupe – This car has just shed off a huge 150kg for stiffer suspension and increased camber to improve traction, and longer gear ratios increase top speed.

GRID 2, launched back in May this year, is currently available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
