‘Arrow’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Stephen Amell Hints Fifth Installment Could Be Finale? Predictions, Possible Plot Details Revealed

Followers of “Arrow” Season 5 opine that Season 4 was better than Season 3 because it returned Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) to the center. However, it is still a backward step in comparison to Season 1, considered the action series’ glory days.

The negative audience reaction to the weaker plot of recent seasons has resulted in speculations that “Arrow” Season 5 would be the last. This has prompted Marc Guggenheim, executive producer of the series, to return the show to its roots.

Street-Level Hero

Some frustrated fans left “Arrow” after Season 3 and Season 4 that the task ahead left for the show’s actors and production crew for "Arrow" Season 5 is to make viewers aware again that “Arrows” is a “street-level” superhero show, different from other TV programs with hero figures, and return to its vigilante focus emphasized in Season 1, Den of Geek points out.

But admittedly, some fans also favored the shift of focus in “Arrows” Season 2 when the show gave higher priority to the relationship between Oliver and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), although in the process, it sacrificed a lot of “Arrow’s” strong points. Missed by the fans were the outstanding hand-to-hand fight sequences and dramatic highlights which fans hope to see again in "Arrow" Season 5.

Oliver’s Baby Scandal

In lieu, followers of “Arrow” had to endure a plot involving disability, Oliver’s secret baby scandal and a magical bow and arrow that a villain had to fight. Characters were also resurrected from the dead, while others were difficult to kill. Would the producers not repeat those mistakes in "Arrow" Season 5?

Amell said “Arrow” Season 5 would be a “throw-down-the-gauntlet” year for the show. It means they have to do what they ought to, and do it well. He said the formula is simply hard work and playing the strength of the series. If they do that, “Arrow” has a good chance of lasting longer on the air.

To do that, “Arrow” Season 5 will introduce a villain who is Oliver’s creation at some point of his past and his dark version as well. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Arrow" Season 5 spoilers, news and updates!
