GoPro officially unveiled the new accessory for GoPro Hero 5 cameras, the waterproof voice-controlled remote control called Remo. With the issues in line with the poor pick-up of Hero 5 camera's microphone in a noisy environment, Remo is going to be of great use.
One of the best features of the GoPro Hero 5 action cameras is that it allows the users to voice control the camera to do things like start and stop recording, take photo bursts, set a highlight tag, shoot pictures, change modes and switch the camera off. However, a noisy environment brought about by outdoor actions like snowboarding, zip lining, skiing, surfing and the likes may prevent the camera's microphone from picking up the sound of the user. GoPro has recently launched the solution to the issue -- introducing the GoPro Remo.
GoPro Remo is a cool new accessory for GoPro Hero 5 action cameras can add extra convenience for users as it allows voice controls even in noisy or windy environments that affect the microphone in Hero5 cameras. In addition to controlling for wind noise, it's a clip-on gadget. So with that, one may clip it to pets or small children to get a different perspective on things. Users can control what GoPro Hero 5 camera does and start a recording from afar as its voice commands will work within a 33-foot range. Not only that, Remo also understands 10 languages English (U.S., UK, AU), French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Italian.
On a side note, the GoPro Remo plays nice with the GoPro Hero 5 Black and Hero5 Session, but it's not compatible with GoPro's older action cameras. It only works with newer models that support voice commands. Considering all the above-mentioned specs, one can say that it's going to be cost-worthy.
