'Cardcaptor Sakura' Returns: 2000 Anime Series Returns as 'Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc,' a Sequel

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, "Cardcaptor Sakura" returns with a sequel manga series. The popular anime series sequel is titled "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc." 

The sequel manga series "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" was first teased in February, according to Madman Entertainment.  It was revealed in the upcoming January issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine for the December cover.

"Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" will follow the story of Sakura's first year of junior high school, after she graduated  from Tomoeda Elementary School. Morio Asaka, director of first "Sakura Cardcaptor" series, will return to helm the TV series.

Cast members who will return are Sakura Tange as Sakura Kinomoto, Aya Hisakawa as Keroberos, Junko Iwao as Tomoyo Daidōji, Motoko Kumai as Syaoran Li, Megumi Ogata as Yukito Tsukishiro and Tomokazu Seki as Tōya Kinomoto. 

It takes 15 years before "Cardcaptor Sakura" followed by another sequel. For those who have no idea about the first TV series, "Cardcaptor Sakura" follows the story of the elementary girl Sakura who soon discovers  a magic book in her father's basement. The "Cardcaptor Sakura: The Sealed Card." ran seventy episodes, as per Den Of Geek

"Sakura: Clear Card Arc" release date is set for January 2018. As of writing this article, there is no exact date given for the airdate.

At the time of this writing, there is no announcement if there are English companies that have licensed the anime. There is no confirmation about how many episodes will be run.
