'The Man in the High Castle' Season 2 Release Date, News & Updates: Stephen Root Casted for Title Role

There is a lot of hype surrounding the return of "The Man in the High Castle" in the small screens. The premiere of the second is already and Amazon Studios has teased fans with a huge revelation. The actor who will be playing the title role of the show has finally been unveiled.

It was reported recently that Stephen Root will be the one to play title role for "The Man in the High Castle." His character was responsible for being the catalyst of the Resistance movement in the show. He is also the one who gathered the mysterious films that showed the aftermath of the Americans winning the Second World War.

Furthermore, Stephen Root has been known for his roles in "Finding Dory," "Selma," "Boardwalk Empire," and "Office Space." Amazon Studios has made the announcement of his role by releasing a clip from the second season of "The Man in the High Castle." The scene from the promotional video presents a conversation between Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos) and the Man in the High Castle as he explains the importance of films.

According to reports, "The Man in the High Castle" is an adaptation from the 1962 novel of Philip K. Dick titled "Hugo." The series mainly focuses on the events that would have occurred if the Axis Powers were victorious in World War II.

Other cast members that is also included in the second season of "The Man in the High Castle" are Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente, Brennan Brown, Bella Heathcote, Callum Keith Rennie, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Rufus Sewell. The next installment will once again show the struggles of Juliana Crain and Joe Blake against the Nazis and the Japanese.

The first episode of the television series was first aired back in January 2015 and it has received a lot of positive reviews. Season two of "The Man in the High Castle" is expected to air on Friday, Dec. 16 only on Amazon Prime.
