The ultimate Android offerings (only next to Google Pixel iterations) from the Samsung Galaxy series are about to get down to all its seriousness in terms of the crowded "selfie" business. Its forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 is now tipped to sport a major upgrade on its front-facing snapper, numerous sources have revealed.

The jazzing up of Samsung Galaxy S8 leading to its purported release in 2017 has already been awash with numerous and grand specifications. These include the edge-to-edge display rumors along with the dual-camera system that is already increasingly becoming to be a fad nowadays. These do not scream shocking to anyone anymore as the South Korean firm has to ensure that every smartphone that follows here on out are of top notch quality after its global fiasco with the problematic Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

According to Korean news outlet ET News, the front-facing camera of Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to be equipped with an autofocus functionality. A first for the company, the feature will surely bring a bigger crowd to its already massive fanbase as the "selfie" specifications are considered to be a must in this generation when photo production and imageries are taken quite significantly.

As such, the introduction of autofocus in the Samsung Galaxy S8's will prove to be a vantage point for the tech giant. With a notable exception of the newly unwrapped OnePlus 3T, fewer companies have not even jumped to the bandwagon yet. Moreover, the autofocus add-on will bring the firm a slight advantage to its fiercest rival, Apple Inc, whose cameras have always provided top-of-the-line offerings.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has also been tipped to offer powerful hardware support. It should come with a massive 6GB of random access memory (RAM) and 256GB of internal storage. Accordingly, the pair is set to become the forthcoming smartphone's standardized tier offering. Meanwhile, the next flagship entry has liekwise been tipped to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The chipset was officially launched just last month.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in 2017. The event will kick off on Feb. 27.
