"Gears of War 4" developers have announced a special event, dubbed as "Gears of War 4" Crossplay Versus weekend. The event is for those who use PC and Xbox as their gaming platform.
"Gears of War 4" Crossplay Versus is a test spearheaded by game developer The Coalition. It seeks to evaluate the possibility of a more stable and permanent Crossplay solution in the future. Crossplay Versus will enable Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers to play together outside Private matches in Versus. The developer aims to have a competitive balance as the priority of the experiment. The event is intended to give Crossplay a run within the public playlist.
According to The Coalition, steps after the event on weekend have not yet been decided. The developers emphasized that this activity is the most important pioneer step they have to make. They added that the data gathered and the feedback from the "Gears of War 4" Crossplay Versus will be combined to be able to make the next informed step. The developers also stressed that they will not make any surprise changes for the "Gears of War 4" soon based on the results of the activity on weekend.
The playlist details for the "Gears of War 4" Crossplay Versus event includes the playlist typ, which is Social. For Modes, available are Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill and Dodgeball. For Maps, players can access all, including Dry Dock and Checkout. Gamers' Win XP is from 600 to 1500 and their Loss XP is from 100 up to 750 XP. Lastly, the Maximum Squad Size is five, as reported by Gamespot.
The developers are still inviting players to participate for the test run to be effective. "Gears of War 4" Crossplay Versus event will start on December 2 and will run until December 5.
