iPhone 7 A10 Fusion chip reportedly sports tweaks for a speed boost. However, the A10 Fusion GPU is reportedly analogous to the architecture used in the A9 chip. Moreover, the supply for iPhone 7 has reportedly decreased follow the decrease in demand in the global market.
Additionally, the iPhone 7 graphics processor reportedly uses a custom version of PowerVR GT7600 GPU. On that note, The Linley Group reportedly published an analysis saying that the GPU on the iPhone 7 may be similar to the GPU in the iPhone 6 and 6S Plus in 2015. On the contrary, the giant tech company reportedly claims that the GPU on the iPhone 7 is two times faster than the A9 chip. Additionally, the iPhone 7 GPU was also said to perform 50 percent faster.
Latest benchmark reports however are reportedly confusing. Apparently, some benchmark results claim that Apple's claims on the GPU performance of the A10 Fusion chip on the iPhone 7 was indeed true. However, a number of results also claim that the chip cannot sustain its peak performance for long periods without overheating, PC World reported.
Linley Group Founder and Principal Analyst Linley Gwennap reportedly published a research note on the GPU. The analyst noted that apparently the iPhone 7 throttles back from top GPU speed after about a minute. This reportedly prevents the iPhone 7 to achieve high scores for all users.
In other news, the giant tech company is reportedly reducing orders for the iPhone 7 handsets as of this year. Apparently, the iPhone 7 initial sales momentum has been fading in the global market such as in Taiwan and China. It is said that the demand for the iPhone 7 even in Jet Black has already decreased, Investors reported.
The iPhone 7 was only launched this year in September. iPhone 7 sales were reportedly strong post-Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. However, with news shifting on the upcoming 10th anniversary iPhone from Apple, the much-awaited iPhone 8 has reportedly gotten the interest of the public.
