Fans of the fallen angel "Lucifer" will be disappointed to know that episode 11 of the series will not be airing on its scheduled timeslot. Apparently, the series goes on hiatus as the telecast of episode 11 will not air on Monday, December 5, 2016, for some undisclosed reasons.
It came as a surprise that "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 11 titled "Stewardess Interrupts" will not be airing this week considering the twists left in the last episode. The reason behind the abrupt hiatus of "Lucifer" Season 2 remains unclear.
Rumors are rife that the sudden month-long break is in line with the show's winter break which will last through the month of December. However, there were also claims that the said hiatus was due to last episode's poor ratings and evaluation. Although there was no proof to justify the claims, many find the climax and cliffhanger of "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 10 rather unsatisfactory.
In the previous fall finale of "Lucifer" Season 2, a shocking fact was revealed -- Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) is special. Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) met Chloe's mother and recalled that she and John Pankow (Jimmy Barnes) were the ones he blessed 30 years ago to have a child. It was also revealed that the detective is a miracle child and she was intentionally put on the devil's (Tom Ellis) path by God.
The promo for "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 11 leaves viewers expectant of a way better episode. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer to know more about Charlotte's (Tricia Helfer) plans for Chloe, as well as Lucifer's inner dilemma.
It was earlier reported that the station will be making reruns of the series every week until "Lucifer" Season 2 returns. The report was later countered as no reruns will take place. Instead, the time slot "Lucifer" Season 2 will be temporarily replaced by a special airing of "Showtime At The Apollo."
Meanwhile, fans of the fallen angel will just have to wait as "Lucifer" Season 2 returns with episode 11 on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox. But until then, stay tuned for more updates.
