Android 7.0 Nougat was recently adopted by Sony into its handsets particularly the Xperia XZ and X Compact, among others. Several XDA developers have already noted XZ handsets with the Android 7.0 Nougat delivering the greatest Xperia UI so far. Moreover, Samsung may also be adding one more handset with the Android 7.0 Nougat, the Galaxy Note 5.
Previously, Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat in Aug. 22 and first debuted in the LG V20 handsets in September. Currently, Sony is also releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat on a number of Xperia devices. Aside from the previously mentioned devices, the XA, XA Ultra, X, X Performance, Z5, Z5 Compact, X5 Tablet, Z3+ and Z5 Premium are all getting the OS update as well. However, note that the timing of delivery may vary depending on the region and model, according to report.
Apparently, the Android 7.0 Nougat has already rolled out in numerous parts of the world. Latest reports reveal that Xperia users in India, Australia, Russia, Netherlands and Turkey have been getting the Android 7.0 Nougat on their devices. Note that the firmware weighs 1GB and needs uninterrupted Wi-Fi connection to install.
In other news, Samsung previously launched an official beta program of the Android 7.0 Nougat on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge phone. Furthermore, a recent discovery on GFXBench reportedly reveals that the Galaxy Note 5 may receive the Android 7.0 Nougat as well. Moreover, a benchmark for the Galaxy S6 was also revealed on the same site, BGR reported.
Android 7.0 Nougat may be in the final stages of testing for the Samsung phablet. Apparently, with the ending of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is speculated to make the Galaxy Note 5 more exciting in the market.
