Sasha Banks: I hate that people think wrestling is fake

Wrestlers and fans have taken a lot of hate from many ignorant people claiming that it is not real. One of them is current Raw women's champion Sasha Banks, who hates it when people think that wrestling is fake.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Sasha talked about a variety of topics including fulfilling her dream of becoming a WWE superstar, wrestling misconceptions, the hardest part of the job, Eddie Guerrero and many more.

The 24-year-old revealed that at the age of ten, she knew that she wants to become a WWE superstar. She started wrestling in 2010 for local promotions in Massachusetts before she got signed to an NXT deal in 2012.

Sasha was the breakout star of 2015 when he won the NXT Women's championship under her "The Boss" persona. She had a couple of amazing matches with Bayley that included a 30-minute Iron Woman Match.

However, the three-time Raw women's champion still gets upset about the misconception that wrestling is fake. She added that she hates that wrestling is getting called fake despite all the injuries she gets from it.

"I hate that, I hate that people think it's fake but if they got in the ring and they took a bump like we do every single week, legit travel like we travel every single week they would so appreciate everything we did," Sasha said.

The Boston native is not the first superstar to voice feelings about wrestling being called fake. Xavier Woods of The New Day put a troll in his place with a great response regarding "wrestling is fake" comments, per Wrestle Zone.

Woods, who is close to getting his Ph.D. in Psychology, compared wrestling to a theater. He called in art form since it tells stories in front of a live audience. He also wants people to just respect wrestling and their fans, who he called the greatest in the world.
