With the final episode of "Poldark" Season 2 having just been aired, fans are left wanting for more of the heart-pounding BBC period drama. The network had just released a new teaser trailer for "Poldark" Season 3, which will feature the return of Ross, played by Aidan Turner.
'Poldark' Season 3
The teaser trailer for "Poldark" Season 3 had revealed that the show will be featuring the return of most main characters, as well as the debut of new ones. Unfortunately, though, Jud Paynter, the servant of Ross, will not be featured anymore as actor Phil Davis will not be returning. However, his on-screen wife Prudie, portrayed by Beatie Edney, will still return.
Drake and Sam, portrayed by Harry Richardson and Tom York, respectively, also known as the brothers of Demelza, played by Eleanor Tomlinson, would be returning. The two are set to return and mix things up a bit in Cornweall. Ellis Chappell will portray Morwenna, the cousin of Elizabeth, then played by Heida Reed, in "Poldark" Season 3.
More Conflicts and Drama
"Poldark" Season 3 scriptwriter Debbie Horsfield said in an interview that the production team is actually thrilled to kick off series three. The new array of fantastic characters and the story that aims to achieve new peaks of conflict, passion, and drama are driving the team's fire.
New Stories, Higher Stakes
While Ross is now much older, he is definitely still not wiser, as his recklessness will still have repercussions on him and those around him. With "Poldark" Season 3, the stakes will be a lot higher than before, so fans would be in for a good ride. "Poldark" Season 2 ended with a lot of bleakness, as the newly-wed Elizabeth is revealed to be pregnant, but the father remains unknown.
Also, "Poldark" Season 3 will see George Warleggan, played by Jack Farthing, who just escaped a mob lynching, planning to send the youngest son of Elizabeth from her marriage with Francis, portrayed by Kyle Soller, to boarding school. Aunt Agatha, portrayed by Caroline Blakiston, then suspects that the unborn child of Elizabeth is fathered by Ross. With these details, "Poldark" Season 3 is surely going to be an interesting one.
