Netflix "Sense8" will have a Christmas special that will last for two hours on Dec. 23, 2016, at 12:01am PT. Season 2's premiere date has also been announced by Netflix, which will be on May 5, 2017.

The Sensates will be thrust into situations where they have to struggle to understand themselves first before they can find deeper connections with each other. Self-identity, trust, despair, and jealousy will be some of the issues the cluster have to overcome, according to reports.
Netflix "Sense8 Season 2" will continue the story plot of season one. According to sources, the August 8 cluster will have to depend on each other to survive since Mr. Whispers (Terrence Mann) is still on a rampage, hunting his own kind specifically the cluster made by Angelica Turing. He has been the main antagonist in the series and his role carries over to "Sense8 Season 2".
The protagonists have to understand the connection they have with each other and use it to their advantage. A lot of issues will arise from the connections the sensates shared. The feelings evoked from the individual's tragedies and triumphs are also felt by the others, so it makes it hard for them to differentiate the emotions with their own. According to reports, a member of the August 8 cluster might bid goodbye and through this loss the remaining sensates will understand and accept the role they play in the thrilling world of "Sense8." The cluster of Mr. Whispers will also be revealed and what happened to them is also uncovered in Season 2.

The August 8 cluster includes Toby Onwumere, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Angel Silvester, and Brian J. Smith. "Sense8 Season 2" has been confirmed to have 10 episodes. The filming of the series is done in different locations around the world, taking footage of real life special occasion in different cities such as the Christmas Holidays in Berlin and the 20th Gay Pride Parade in Sao Paulo.
