‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2 Character Posters, Spoilers: Simon Undergoes A Dark Transformation
Freeform has released promotional posters for "Shadowhunters" Season 2 that teased each character's dark transformation. Among them is Simon, who seems to adapt easily to his vampire persona in the instalment.
Say goodbye to the geeky and awkward Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) and welcome the confident and brooding Underworlder. Clary Fairchild's (Katherine McNamara) best friend looks totally different in the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 poster shared by ShadowhuntersTV.
The former mundane has acquired an edgy look for the "Shadowhunters" Season 2. His hair looks perfectly coiffed. He even dared to expose a few chest hairs. Simon also lost his glasses, which makes it easy to see his enchanting smoulder. The goofy smile is gone, replaced with two vicious fangs.
This Simon in the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 poster looks ready to bite his victim. It is unclear though if his personality has also changed along with being a vampire.

Regardless of his physical transformation, the trailer for the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 teased Simon retains a bit of his awkwardness. A scene in the preview shows him trying to act tough and scary in front of Maia Roberts (Alisha Wainwright), who in Cassandra Clare's "Shadowhunters" novels becomes Simon's love interest. Simon failed to appear sinister in front of her, which only caused him embarrassment.
Of course, Simon still has to master being a vampire. Raphael will be on hand to teach him a few things about being an Underworlder in the "Shadowhunters" Season 2.
Despite being a vampire, Simon will continue to cherish his relationship with his best friend Clary, who is a Shadowhunter. In the books, Shadowhunters and Downworlders are not supposed to interact or meddle with each other's problems. However, this is not the case in the "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Both worlds are bonded together for a common purpose and that is to defeat Valentine and The Circle.
