It was recently announced that the "Marvel vs. Capcom" game series will have a new entry, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." There are reports that Capcom will also be reviving "dormant" franchises for the latest game.

In a press release that was given by Capcom, it was stated that "In additional to regular major title releases for each fiscal year, Capcom is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP. Beginning with "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite", a return for the series following a five-year hiatus, Capcom looks to enhance its corporate value even further by utilizing its library of rich contents."

Long time Capcom fans are wondering which of the titles they are talking about. There are several franchises that are in line for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" update and some of these include "Mega Man" and "Mega Man X," "Dino Crisis," "Lost Planet," "Ghosts N' Goblins," "Final Fight" and 'Breath of Fire."

As for the heroes appearing in the game, it has been recently reported that Captain America and Morrigan will join the lineup. Furthermore, based on the trailer, players assume that representing Capcom side will also be Ryu and Mega Man while on the Marvel side are Iron Man and Captain Marvel. Those are six confirmed heroes for the game "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite."

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's" setup will be a 2 vs. 2 fighting game, which will make the gameplay easier to manage. Characters can also power up using Infinity Stones with Ryu using the Power Infinity Stone and Captain Marvel using the Time Infinity Stone in the trailer. Each Infinity stone will give the characters an advantage over the aspect of a universe - power, space, time, reality, mind, and soul.

There is no specific release date for the game yet but it is expected to be released late 2017. "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be out for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
