Batman: Arkham Origins Commercial Starts Making the Rounds

How to Go From Bruce Wayne to Batman in 5 Easy Steps

Pretty soon, it won't just be the Internet and comic books you'll be seeing ads for Warner Bros. Montreal's prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins. Watch enough of the boob tube, and eventually you'll come across a new TV spot that captures Bruce Wayne's transformation from a young orphan to vigilante.

It's a sped up transition of moments that seemed to shape the young billionaire's mindset beginning with the moment that defined him to what players will ultimately control. Sort, but sweet...if you consider brute force justice and murder sweet, but hey, I'm not here to judge.

It's a bit reminescent of some of the trailers for Dead Island and its half-sequel, Dead Island: Riptide, in that it does try to tug at your heartstrings a bit, minus the zombies. Up until Bane lands a haymaker right on Bats's face, that is. It's all business from there.

To save your greasy sausages from clicking through the buttons on the remote to find the clip, we've embedded it for you right here. Check it out below.

I think we're all familiar with Batman's origin at this point, and thankfully, Origins will stay far and away from that. Rather, it's a look at the caped crusader's early time under the cape and cowl, and how he met some of the defining villains of Gotham City and beyond who would come to define his infamous Rogues Gallery.

He's still thought of as an urban legend, a boogeyman if you will. It's long before a bat signal is in the sky, so Batman doesn't have the best relationship with local law enforcement. Even Gordon is still a few ranks away from making Comissioner.

Batman: Arkham Origins stars a younger, not as experienced Batman we've seen in past Arkham games, and has the criminal Black Mask offering a boatload of cash to whoever can kill the caped crusader. Confirmed classic characters include Penguin, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Scarecrow, Bane, Copperhead, Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Firefly, the Joker, Anarky, and more recently, Electrocutioner.

Batman is armed with more than just his grapnel gun and batarangs. He's actually carrying a few new toys thrown in for good measure, all to help him pummel thugs throughout a Gotham city that's almost double the size of the one seen in Arkham City. The game will release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. A follow-up, Batman: Arkham Origins - Blackgate, is also in development by Armature Studio, set to release for Nintendo's 2 and 3DS, and the PS Vita the same day. The games will release on all platforms worldwide on Oct. 25, 2013.
