‘Death Stranding’ News & Updates: Secrets Hidden In The Trailer, Newest Information

“Death Stranding” is the first game which Hideo Kojima will produce in his post-Konami period. There are high expectations pointed at the genial game designers and he serves them well, by implementing a lot of secrets within the new “Death Stranding” trailer.

Games Radar shares some of the in-game features which were shown in the game awards “Death Stranding” trailer. As Kojima said some time ago, this game will run not on sticks, but on ropes and he keeps true to his promise. In the end of the trailer a soldier is seen unmasking his face and giving orders to his platoon.

What attract attention is that with the exception of the leader all of them are walking skeletons in 100 year old armament. What he uses to control their bodies looks like black cables hanging from his body, which transmit the signal towards the walking corpses.

Game Rant informs readers that another major point in the revealed trailer is the baby imagery. There are two characters in both the trailers which attract the attention of the viewers. First is the baby that is found in the first trailer, which later on disappears, leaving black handprints in the ground.

The second one is carried in a container. No other children are shown in the trailer and the lengths through which the character in the second trailer is ready to go to preserve the container with the baby shows, that it holds some great value.

Has humanity become sterile due to some disaster, or is the baby special in both origin and role it plays in the story? Both theories circle the internet and they will remain theories until an official statement has been made, or the game is finally released.

IGN adds more mystery to the puzzle. They claim that playing both the trailers simultaneously reveals dependencies between the pictures. The baby doll seen in the second trailer has the same scar as Norman Reedus in the first trailer. Beyond that, only one of its eyes is open, just like with the baby in the container. The two babies are revealed consecutively and both of them show some extraordinary story behind them, where the first one disappears and the second is kept in a water tank.

Release date has not yet been confirmed for “Death Stranding”, but the game is expected to be released in 2017, with PS 4 being a confirmed console.
