Listen to the Sennheiser HE 1 in New York

CNet revealed that the Sennheiser HE 1 was positioned in the back of the New York store. The device was a visual attraction, featuring a matching headphone and vacuum tube/solid-state amplifier.

The tubes of the amp will retreat into the base when the Sennheiser HE 1 is off, but gradually moves up and glows into a deep orange hue when turned on. The Sennheiser HE 1 also features a Carrara marble cabinet and gold knobs. The controls on the side, similar to the amp tubes, retract and come out accordingly.

According to team of Sennheiser technicians in Germany, only one HE 1 system is being made per day, with 250 systems built every year. The production for the first year is already sold out, despite its whopping price.

What Makes The Sennheiser HE 1 Different?

In terms of sound quality, the Sennheiser HE 1 is the best. The impulses and emotional power of the music feel stronger. Audiophiles are advised to listen in a very quiet room to appreciate the depth of the music and totally eliminate background noise. Listeners will feel as if they are among the musicians.

The best recordings will offer the acoustic space of the concert or studio venue. Instrumental details that cannot normally be heard in most headphones will be unveiled by the Sennheiser HE 1. The vocals will also be clearer and seem to originate from above the listener.

BestTechie wrote that the Sennheiser HE 1 stands out by transferring audio voltage to a coil attached to a magnet, which is also linked to a diaphragm. When music plays, the magnet moves and causes the diaphragm to vibrate, resulting to clear and more powerful sound.

Electrostatic headphones such as the Sennheiser HE 1 features a very thin film between two huge metal plates within the headphones. The Sennheiser HE 1 features a 2.4-micron film that is actually lighter than the air around it, and has no resonance. Listeners get optimal tonal clarity because of the setup.

Fans who cannot afford the Sennheiser HE 1 can experience its power at the New York pop up store. More updates and details are expected soon.
