According to reports, Walter Goggins is being considered to be the villain of the "Tomb Raider" reboot, and the actor is in the final stages of negotiation. So far, these are some of the latest info that is known the upcoming movie, and the character that the actor will be playing is still unknown. Goggins has been known for his roles in the films of Quentin Tarantino such as "The Hateful Eight" and "Django Unchained." He also recently starred in the HBO series called "Vice Principals."
It was also reported previously that the heroine of "Tomb Raider," Lara Croft, will be played by Alicia Vikander who recently won an Oscar for her role in "The Danish Girl." The recent actress has also recently appeared in "Ex Machina.
Graham King, the producer of the latest installment of the movie franchise, has recently given an explanation with what "Tomb Raider" will be about. "This is kind of what we call a back to the roots story," the producer mentioned. "This is a young Lara Croft in search to see if her father is dead or alive, so it has a very emotional part to it and I think that's what Alicia found so interesting about it."
The director of "Tomb Raider," Roar Uthaug, was also inspired by the 2013 reboot of Square Enix. Uthuag is aiming to do the same with the upcoming film and he wants the audiences to connect to Lara Croft by making her feel like a human being, The past films of the franchise which was released in 2001 and 2003 starred Angelina Jolie as the iconic character.
