'Baywatch' Release Date, Spoilers, News & Updates:Original Baywatch Characters Coming Back? What We Know So Far?

"Baywatch," the 2017 movie adaptation of the 90's series with the same name, will be hitting the big screens in May 2017. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zach Efron are the lead stars of this action-comedy film.

The two-minute teaser trailer of "Baywatch" came out a few days ago on The Rock's twitter account. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be portraying Mitch Buchannon, the famous lifeguard protagonist of the franchise. Mitch Buchannon's role was originally given life by David Hasselhoff in the "Baywatch" series in 1989 to 2000. According to sources, some of the original cast of "Baywatch" series, such as Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson ( C.J. Parker), will have special appearances in the 2017 movie. Other important characters of the story include Alexandra Daddario as Summer Quinn, Matt Brody's (Zac Efron) love interest; Kelly Rohrbach as C.J. Parker and Priyanka Chopra as Victoria Leeds, the antagonist.

In a report given by a reliable source, the latest "Baywatch" movie is said to have a lot of action scenes. From saving lives, jumping from burning boats to investigating the appearance of a dead body. A couple of comedic verse collaborated into the lines of the characters give the serious plot a relief. A lot of skin and abs will also be shown on set.

The story of "Baywatch" revolves around Mitch, the head lifeguard, and Matt Brody, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, who was newly recruited to the Baywatch. Mitch and Matt do not get along very well at first but when a crime was committed and a dead body was found in their jurisdiction, the two have to work together to solve the case and save the Baywatch from being shut down.
