The Acclaimed Greatest Guitarist of All Time, Jimi Hendrix, Coming to Bandfuse: Rock Legends

Jimi Hendrix Joining Bootsy Collins, Slash, Zakk Wylde, and Others in Bandfuse: Rock Legends

We all have our favorite musicians, be they singers, drummers, guitarists, and what have you. But in the gammut and wide range of performers and bands in the the endless collection of musical sub-genres, it's hard to deny that many of them approached, or at best matched, the amount of influence of Jimi Hendrix. A Woodstock headliner, Hendrix is considered one of the the best musicians that the tumultuous 60's had to offer, and his significance is felt even today, some 40 years after he died at too young an age, and will continue on as his musical contributions will be celebrated in Bandfuse: Rock Legends.

Developer Realta Entertainment announced its partnership with Experience Hendrix, L.L.C., which will bring Hendrix into the fold, joining other skilled and talented musicians like Social Distortion's Mike Ness and Dokken's George Lynch as one of the game's rock legends.

"We are ecstatic to be working with the Jimi Hendrix team to bring his immensely explosive talent to BandFuse: Rock Legends," said Jeff Marshall, Director of Artist Relations, Realta Entertainment. "He was an unparalleled musical genius whose collective guitar works continue to be relevant and influential to budding musicians and music lovers the world over."

Hendrix's inclusion gives players access
to 15 signature songs from the Hendrix catalogue, which will be rolled out in January as DLC from the game's Music Store.

"Jimi was never afraid to go beyond the limitations of traditional guitar teachings, and when fans jump into BandFuse they will be amazed at how cool it is to learn to play guitar like Hendrix," said Janie L. Hendrix, President/CEO of Experience Hendrix L.L.C. "The game provides players with the ability to play his exact sound, capturing the fuzz, feedback and tones that made his style legendary."

Besides Hendrix, Ness, and Lynch, Bandfuse: Rock Legends also includes the talents of Children of Bodom's Alexi Laiho, Bootsy Collins of Parliament Funkadelic, Five Finger Death Punch's Jason Hook, and others. The game allows players to connect real guitars, basses, and microphones into their preferred console and jam out to a library of hit songs from rock to metal, and punk to funk, a total of 55 songs in all.

The game is out now in North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and arrives in Japan on December 19, and Europe at a later date.
