Legalizing of Marijuana to be used as a medicine has become one of the most talked about global issues of today. And, the issue, obviously, hasn't subsided yet. But for federal government countries like the United States of America, that won't be an issue since its every state has full autonomy to pass bills, and enact laws which will govern the specific state in turn. One of these states is Florida. And, according to reports, the state has already begun its first deliveries of medical cannabis to patients who are qualified for that treatment or drug.
Business Journal reported that Florida Department of Health had made permission to some first few companies which can deliver the said drugs. And, one of this is the Knox Medical. In a statement of that company's Chief Executive Officer Jose Hidalgo that their first priority is to make sure that the medical needs of patients are met first, without looking to the cannabis' bad reputation as an addictive drug rather than being used in treatments.
Because of this, patients from the South Florida can be able to be treated with medical cannabis, after next week's possible delivery of those kinds of drugs. Moreover, it was reported at News.Mic that medical marijuana can boost the state's monetization up to $1.6 Billion in 2020.
Now, if the Florida has made its first steps to successfully distribute medical cannabis to medical institutions, New York seemed to be making bit changes to its laws regulating the usage of marijuana in the field of medical treatment.
Pix 11 had featured a report where New York's Health Department had included some of the patient qualifications for medical marijuana. And, one of those is patients suffering from chronic pain. Moreover, it seemed that even nurse practitioners and assistants of physicians can now have the power to determine a patient qualified for cannabis treatment.
