Miss World 2016 Latest News & Update: 'Quantico' Season 2 Star Priyanka Chopra Hosting?

With "Quantico" season 2 currently on a break, Priyanka Chopra finally has time to take stock and reflect on her success in Hollywood. But it seems she will be doing something else in the coming days as it is rumored she will be flying to Washington DC for the Miss World 2016 pageant.

It can be recalled that before her crossover success with "Quantico" season 2, Chopra was best known for being the winner of Miss World sixteen years ago. Now, it looks like the world's most popular pageant has invited one of their most famous alumni to host the Miss World 2016 pageant. Who better to host an event that the Washington Post calls as "better than the Superbowl" than Chopra?

In other Miss World 2016 news, the British representative to the pageant has become one of the frontrunners. According to The Sun, she is a psychology student from Liverpool University and is expected to be one of the top contenders for the crown.

You can watch Miss World 2016 on Sunday, December 18, at 9 pm ET on E! for the United States and BBC One for the United Kingdom. Miss World 2016 will be broadcasting live from the MGM National Harbor in Washington D.C., United States. "Quantico" season 2, on the other hand, will come back next year in a new timeslot on Monday, January 23, at 10 pm.
