"Maze Runner 3" was originally scheduled to resume production in February next year, but some believe that Dylan O'Brien is already done with his previous commitments with "American Assassin" and "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Will the highly anticipated sequel start filming again in January to ensure its early 2018 release?

Dylan O'Brien Finished With 'American Assassin' And 'Teen Wolf' Season 6, Prepping To Film 'Maze Runner 3'?

It has previously reported on speculations that Dylan O'Brien has almost completed work on his film "American Assassin". The star of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 might have already shot for his last episodes with the MTV series, where he plays Stiles Stilinski. In line with that, it is possible that O'Brien will take a short breather during the holidays then jump right back into working on "Maze Runner 3".

The return to "Maze Runner 3" might not be an easy one for Dylan O'Brien following his accident on the set. According to Deadline, the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 actor had several facial injuries which may have included a fractured cheekbone or orbital socket. Nevertheless, O'Brien appears to have recovered well from the disaster.

Will 'Maze Runner 3' Get An Early Release Date Following Dylan O'Brien's Return To The Set?

Prior to Dylan O'Brien's accident, "Maze Runner 3" was scheduled for release on February 17, 2017. However, the sequel has been moved back to a January 12, 2018 premiere. There are no announcements yet on whether the film could get an earlier release date if production gets moved up to January next year.
