'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: Pichu & Togepi Announced, Others Soon to Come; Christmas-Themed Pikachu Limited Edition Only? Tracker, Trading Arriving?

"Pokemon Go" has finally pushed through with the much-awaited update for the Generation 2 Pokemon, and a little bit more. That being said, the hype has certainly flown much higher with the supposed addition bound to come sooner than later.

As it was said so in the past, "Pokemon Go" promised a sleuth of content along the way which includes the second generation of creatures seen in the series. This has now been made a reality, with the two latest additions making waves all over the web.

The newest tweet by "Pokemon Go" shows a pair of characters that many fans of the series will utterly recognize, namely Togepi and Pichu. It can be recalled that both of the creatures were discovered in the Johto Region, from both Silver and Gold through egg hatching. However, there has been no full disclosure of all the creatures bound to join the two from the second generation.

Niantic claims that the rest of the Pokemon will be discoverable soon, most notably those that appeared in both "Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver." The surprises do not end there, as something adherent to Christmas is also to be laid out for the "Pokemon Go" players. Niantic revealed that all the way to December 29th, a festive Pikachu wearing a Santa hat will be out in the wild for players to capture. Players are urged to take not that the Pikachu is limited edition, as well as to take pictures of them to share using the hashtag #HolidayPikachu.

In related news, the "Pokemon Go" update will enable players to transfer multiple Pokemon to Professor Willow in a single action, compared to how it was done in the previous system. Fans once took ample time to transfer their creatures individually, as well as text fixes and vital information for their Buddy Pokemon.
