Developer of 'Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' and 'Gwent: The Witcher Card Game' Joins Dead Island Studio, Working On Open World Game

Damien Monnier the prominent developer of "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" currently joined Dying Light Studio Techland and Dead Island studio. He is also a senior designer of CD Projekt Red. In November 2016, he left CD Projekt Red and recently disclosed that he will be joining Techalnd in working on a mysterious new IP.

Techland said that the company has a huge ambition of the next internally developed games so that people will contributes ideas, skills and knowledge that will bring them in a kind of life that is absolutely essential according to Gamespot.

The newest IP of Techland is about an open world fantasy game. It features co-op multiplayer and single-player. However, an official announcement has not yet been made.

The decision of the prominent developer to leave CD Projekt Red has been settled. It is not yet clear why he actually left but he is still thankful about the studio and perhaps, it is an amicable departure.

On the other hand, Techland's office is in Warsaw, Poland. The two recent projects that the company has launched are "Dead Island: Definitive Edition" and "Dying Light: The Following".

Dying Light Developer hired the former "Gwent" designer Damien Monnier according to Euro gamer.  He works on "The Witcher" series from 2012 until 2016.  He is the lead designer of the breakaway title "Gwent: The Witcher Card Game" that is exclusively in beta.

Monnier is also a former level and game designer of Sony. He works on Evolution studios and a developer of "Motor Storm" and "DriveClub". The Techland family is whole heartedly welcoming Damien Monnier in the group.

However, he confirmed that negative speculations about why Damien left CD Projekt Red are not true as he expressed his gratefulness publicly to the Studio. The expansion Blood & Wine was done and launched in spring this year.
