Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, News & Update: Next Flagship's Concept Image Emerged; Entry May Sport Two-Displays?

Just as 2017 is about to dawn on the smartphone industry, more and more innovative developments are surfacing among its tech players, most notably the forthcoming offerings of behemoth Samsung Electronics and Apple Inc. The crowd would think the Cupertino-based firm technological aspirations are ever game-changing but its fiercest rival, the South Korean company, is hugely aiming for its throat with its next flagship entry — Samsung Galaxy S8.

Now while most of Samsung Galaxy S8's previous speculated specifications have been off the charts, it wouldn't be too shocking in Samsung's calibre as the company has been consistent in offering top-notch features, despite its ridiculousness, some would say. The latest of which that is making the rounds now is the upcoming entry's thinnest bezels to-date yet.

Android Headlines has revealed the image, indicating that Samsung Galaxy S8 may be coming without its physical home button, ultimately rendered by its near bezel-less design. Further, the smartphone has a high screen-tobody ratio — postively beyond the 90 percent mark and almost identical to Xiaomi Mi MiX which was just unwrapped recently. Meanwhile, Samsung has not confirmed yet whether the image of its next flagship smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has also been associated with a speculation that it might go with two displays. Samsung is believed to be working on a "two-track" strategy for its upcoming devices. The smartphone might be armed with two displays — one on the front and one at its front. Moreover, a foldable display that might be encased in an OLED display is also in the works.  As such, the displays for the dual-screen smartphone are expected to be sourced out from Japan Display Inc.

Samsung is scheduled to launch its flagship smartphones in 2017. These include the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the follow-up to its controversy-riddled Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
