‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Bethesda Releasing Sixth Version Beyond 2019?
Bethesda has a full plate these days though most have been on ramping up content for current game titles. That includes “Skyrim Special Edition” and “Fallout 4 VR”. So where does “The Elder Scrolls 6” sit with a fully loaded schedule?
If Bethesda were to answer that question right now, the answer would be years away. While the logical date of release is 2019, the company’s load could possibly move that a bit. Of the projects, they are working on, “Fallout 4 VR” is seen as the one most likely to cause the delay for “The Elder Scrolls 6”.
As mentioned in a previous post, Bethesda admits that their focus is not on “The Elder Scrolls 6”. But then again, there are positives to get out of that statement, particularly the area of virtual reality. Unlike other game developers, Bethesda wants to deliver a complete virtual reality offering to gamers with “Fallout 4 VR”. Seeing that this would be a first, that could take some time.
As of this writing, there are no details on how far Bethesda has gone as far as development for “Fallout 4 VR”. However, it will not be something for the sake of calling it a VR version. Rather it will be a fully interactive game that may very well separate it from the rest, Neurogadget reported.
Once that is established, things should get easier with “The Elder Scroll 6”. Right now, they are technically taking one step towards that direction with the remastered edition of “The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition”.
“Skyrim Special Edition” should help thresh out bugs and game performance issues, all expected to be ironed out once it is time to buckle down to work for “The Elder Scrolls 6”. Lest we forget, a VR version for “TES 6” will also depend if the technology is still a demand.
Bethesda has the luxury of time to work on a VR version for “The Elder Scrolls 6”. Unfortunately, gamers need to see first how the effort results with “Fallout 4 VR”.
