We have exciting "Crossfire 2" game news! South Korean developer Smilegate has enlisted the services of Remedy Entertainment in creating the story campaign for its free to play game FPS Crossfire 2. Remedy, famous for developing the popular games Quantum Break, Max Payne and Alan Wake, is hoping to add a new spin into the game's narrative.
The "Crossfire 2" game news was announced by Remedy Entertainment through a post on its official website. "The whole team here at Remedy is incredibly excited to be a key partner in developing the future of the CROSSFIRE franchise. Smilegate specifically chose Remedy to bring our unique blend of storytelling, memorable characters and inventive gameplay to CROSSFIRE's global audience."
Before Remedy Entertainment's involvement in "Crossfire 2" game, the narrative of the first-person shooter is about two groups competing to establish a new world order. One, Black List, is a terrorist organization that is all about the money while the other, Global Risk, is a principled private military group who fights for justice.
When the first Crossfire was released in 2013, it became the world's top-grossing online game in the next year with sales of up to $1.3 billion worldwide, according to Korean Herald. According to Forbes, Crossfire was also the highest-earning free-to-play (F2P) game in 2013, besting other iconic games like League of Legends so expectations for "Crossfire 2" is very high.
