NetherRealm Studio announced on a Twitter post an important and interesting update for its "Mortal Kombat X" fans. The game is set to bring players to a whole new level of gameplay experience as it introduces an all new update including an interesting downloadable character -- Freddy Krueger.

Reports claim that the game creators based Freddy Krueger's appearance on the 2010 film. Fans will notice that the Freddy Krueger character has no trace of the classic profile of Robert Englund. Aside from the interesting addition of Freddy Krueger in the "Mortal Kombat X" 1.11 update, it is also set to introduce a whole new set of skins and game modes.

As many well know, Freddy Krueger is one of the legendary dream killers that most kids fear as described by Bloody Disgusting. This isn't the first time that the character appears in the game as he first appeared in "Mortal Kombat IX." The character was designed with very sharp claws on both his hands.

However, Dead Central noted the not all fans were thrilled with the addition. Many "Mortal Kombat X" gamers have expressed disappointment with the character in the past. More so, some gamers are not eager to see the Jackie Earle Haley version from the 2010 movie.
