The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 Smoke and Mirrors Trailer- Releasing on Consoles, PC/Mac, and iOS Next Week

Launch Trailer for The Wolf Among Us Episode 2: Smoke and Mirrors

Telltale Games has released a new trailer for The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 'Smoke and Mirrors', the highly anticipated (and late!) follow-up to the excellent premiere of the series. The game will be available for download next week on every current platform- consoles (Xbox 360, PS3), PC/Mac and iOS, perhaps to make up for the lateness. Not every version will hit on the same date but they'll all be up by the end of the week, which will certainly make Fables fans happy.

Stay away from the trailer if you haven't played the first episode, which cleverly shows you a couple of different ways things can turn out depending on your actions in the last game. I don't know about you but I took down that Tweedledum punk and look forward to interrogating him, no matter what Mr. Frog will think.

Of course, it seems as though things get a lot lighter in this episode with some slapstick humor and a laugh track and- haha, just kidding, it's still dark and full of death and moody, angry creatures ripped out of fairy tales. In fact it looks like things are getting even more bleak in the case as things progress- we've now got two murders to investigate and even more suspects involved. Bigby has enough trouble getting people to listen to him as it is but he's dealing with some of the worst denizens of Fabletown right now.

Telltale would also like to direct your attention to this Exploring the World of Fables video, which gives you the history of Fables, the comic on which The Wolf Among Us is based. Bill Willingham's award-winning series started way back in 2002 and is still around today, with no signs of stopping. There are plenty of fairy tales to lift from and subvery, after all. This videogame adaptation takes place before the events of the comic so you can safely play it without knowing anything about it- it might even give greater insight into who the characters are and what they're up to.

As with the other episodes in the season you can pick up 'Smoke and Mirrors' for $4.99 by itself or just buy them altogether via a season pass on whatever platform you prefer, which generally gives you an episode for free. One more week! Check out the trailer below.
