Details of "Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time" is out. Square Enix has revealed new details about next "Dragon Quest" franchise.

"Dragon Quest XI" Releases In 2017 For PS4, Nintendo 3DS & Possibly Nintendo Switch

According to Gematsu, the game's developers have given us a peak at the new "Dragon Quest" sequel. More importantly, the game will be available for 2017. Current information from the game's official website listed three possible console platforms.

Square Enix has confirmed that it will be available for Sony's PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS. There has been no confirmation if it will also be available for the Nintendo Switch. Rumors have suggested that there's a possibility that the console will feature the game.

Everything You Need To Know About "Dragon Quest XI" Characters & Gameplay

Square Enix has released official descriptions for "Dragon Quest XI" main characters. You'll be playing a young man from the lively Ishi village. People from the warm village have raised the young man and will journey in a quest when he turns 16.

A man by the name of Camus will go with the protagonist during the quest. "Dragon Quest" game scenario writer and designer Yuuji Horii describes him as a rude but loyal partner. He will be supporting the novice main character through the ways of the world.

According to director Takeshi Uchikawa, you'll be travelling in a world called "Lotozetasia." It's vast world and dwarfs previous maps from "Dragon Quest" games.

The new "Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time" revelation has drawn a lot of interest. Fans can't just wait to play the new game. As with "Dragon Quest" tradition, will be expecting a fluid battle system. Previous games from the franchise have also possessed an engaging storyline.
