Evolve: Turtle Rock Studios Releases 'Happy Hunting' Trailer [VIDEO]

Happy Hunting! Evolve Releases New Trailer

Turtle Rock Studios has shown time and time again that it knows how to cut a trailer with the Left 4 Dead series, and this latest one for their upcoming title Evolve is no exception. Set to an amazing rendition of Danzig's "Mother", it showcases four hunters facing the Goliath, which seems destined to be one of Evolve's most iconic bosses. Happy hunting, indeed.

The game has been described as Left 4 Dead meets Shadow of the Colossus, and that's because you'll be fighting giant boss monsters instead of hordes of zombies. One lucky player will fight off the little hunters, avoiding their weapons and trying to evolve themselves. The Goliath really does look like no joke and there's already a pre-order bonus in place that gives you a new skin for the beast. According to details the Goliath starts off in a small, weakened form but gets bigger by eating local wildlife. Of course, when we say small, it still means ten feet tall. But there are three evolutionary forms for the beast, each larger and meaner than the one before. By the end he'll be able to sling giant boulders at the players and spring dozens of feet into the air.

While the Goliath looks rough to deal with don't forget that this is only the first boss monster announced by the team. We have no idea what other kind of monstrosities they have in store for us.

Also note that this trailer (title 'Happy Hunting') doesn't feature in-game footage, although it's made from the game's engine. Love the "Duck Dynasty"-looking hunters, and the abilities and weapons they show off. Evolve has easily ratched up most-anticipated lists of most gamers, and for good reason. Expect it to hit the Xbox One, PS4 and PC this Fall.
