Xbox One Titanfall Bundle Leaked, Now Confirmed by Microsoft Worldwide [Update]

Titanfall Xbox One Bundle Leaked Early, Now Confirmed by Microsoft

Titanfall is seemingly everywhere these days as we get closer to its release, and that includes in a new Xbox One bundle that was prematurely posted online. The package includes an Xbox One with Kinect, a digital copy of Titanfall, a wireless controller and headset, and a one month Xbox Live subscription.

Australian site Stevivor, Eurogamer originally reported, misread the bundle information it received from Microsoft and posted the details early. However, they edited the story as Stevivor author Steve Wright explained on his site that he was sent details about the bundle from Microsoft, but they neglected to originally include an embargo date for the information.

Microsoft soon sent a retraction email explaining the email was supposed to be under embargo until 1am AEDST, which is 9am EST. Wright took down the article after speaking with Microsoft, but it was saved in other places on the internet.

Titanfall is due out March 11, and it's still unclear when this bundle will be available. The price of the console was listed at the same price as a standard Xbox One package in Australian currency, but that may not mean it will be equivalent in the US.

Given that the embargo lifts soon according to Stevivor's interaction with Microsoft, we should officially hear details about this package shortly.

Update:

Microsoft has officially confirmed the bundle with a statement sent to the press. It's available for pre-order for $499 and will be out on March 11.

"In many ways, the launch of Titanfall will enable us to deliver the first truly next generation multiplayer game - one that will take advantage of the new party and chat improvements we're delivering, build on the power of the cloud in a way only Microsoft can, and connect fans on Xbox Live," chief marketing and strategy officer Yusuf Mehdi wrote in their statement. "If you've been waiting for the biggest game of the generation before purchasing your Xbox One, this special, limited time offer is perfect for you."

Titanfall is released for Xbox One and PC on March 11. The Xbox 360 version will be available on March 25.
