Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Chupacabra: The Best Scene in the Game [VIDEO]

This is Possibly the Best Scene in Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 [VIDEO]

Where do I begin with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2? Well, I guess with how amusing it is. I fear that a lot of my enjoyment for this game comes from its unintentionally funny scenes and writing, but it's so difficult for me not to love it, regardless.

I would say that I'm a fan of MercurySteam's first Lords of Shadow game; it was an exceptionally polished experience with high production values, albeit a few pacing problems at the start and dull DLC that held the game's true ending, but it was fun and memorable in multiple regards. The sequel on the other hand tonally feels like an entirely different game, and that's probably why I'm enjoying it almost moreso - for the wrong reasons it seems, but that's just me.

For me, I can not get enough of the goofiness this game seeps. For starters, it begins with Dracula, the prince of darkness, going up against a pharmaceutical company. Nevermind that he shouldn't have any clue what a pharmaceutical company is, but the game presents this scenario completely straight faced and seriously. And then there's the wonderful cast of characters that Dracula runs into. One of them – taking this back to the video – is the Chupacabra. This little mischievous creature was introduced in the first Lords of Shadow as a recurring nuisance. In the sequel, his role is expanded to that of a shopkeeper in Dracula's castle.

After setting him free from a cage, the Chupacabra agrees to open a locked door for old Drac the only way he knows how: by dancing. This scene is adorable, cringe-worthy, and hilarious all at the same time. Check it out below!
