'Death Stranding': Mads Mikkelsen Addresses Emma Stone Casting Speculations

Hideo Kojima's "Death Stranding" continues to be an enigma for the press and of course the gamers. The game itself has been the subject of several speculations and rumors and one of the latest talks about Emma Stone being involved with the game. The actress recently won an Academy Award for Best Actress, which was for her role in "La La Land". In an interview, Mads Mikkelsen has reportedly hinted that Stone might make an appearance in the game.

Attendees at the "Saudi Comic-Con" reportedly asked the actor if he has heard of rumors that claimed the actress is involved with Kojima's latest project. Game Rant reports that Mikkelsen replied with "I can't talk about that, but I really like that rumor. That's a lovely rumor." Although his statement sounded reserved, his reaction apparently hinted that the rumors might be real after all. Sources reportedly observed that fans of the actress seemed hopeful about her possible connection with the game.

Previous reports have indicated that that the Emma Stone rumors were reportedly fueled by Hideo Kojima's tweets. Last year in December, "Death Stranding" game director posted a message on Twitter about his encounter with the actress. Additionally, Kojima claimed that he was "in love with" the actress for the past 10 years. Last February, he posted another picture, which was described to me a female mannequin head prepared with motion capture equipment. Mads Mikkelsen has already made an appearance in the latest trailer of the game.

Gamenguide previously reported about Mikkelsen's involvement in the game. The actor talked about his experience and opinions about Kojima. He reportedly praised game developers and said "everything is made by you guys" and claimed that the actors must believe in the developers to handle the rest, in order to come up with a great final product.

"Death Stranding" already has several actors in tow like Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro and of course Mads Mikkelsen himself. Hideo Kojima's obvious admiration for Emma Stone has most likely led to the speculations of the actress' participation in the game's cast. Nothing has been confirmed officially , but it seems most likely that gamers will see a star-studded cast for the game.
